Exhibition dates for 2011 :-
April 1st to the 9th. All Creatures Great and Small. Mixed media exhibition at The Dragonfly Gallery. This is a lovely little gallery in Watton High Street, (Part of the Wayland Trust Building) and also combined with the Tourist information centre. Open 10.00 - 4.00 most days and a nice little coffee shop down the road.
May 29th - 2nd June. Grimston Church, Grimston, nr. Kings Lynn. Very popular Annual church exhibition. more than 300 pictures in all media, and on all subjects. Open four days from 10.00 - 5.00 Excellent refreshments. Vote for your favourite. Live music .
June 10th - 18th - Dragonfly Gallery - Watton Roots and Shoots.
Last two weeks July first week August. Kings Lynn Festival. A wide selection of fringe exhibitions during this time. I shall hopefully exhibit with the West Norfolk Artists Association in St. Nicholas Chapel (just off the Tuesday Market Square, Kings Lynn.)From 23rd July to 6th August) There will be wide variety of work on display, from traditional paintings and sculptures to contemporary and abstract pictures and installations.
Open every day, including Sundays. Vote for your favourite and also enjoy exploring one of our most ancient churches.
Wednesday 27th July. Sandringham Flower Show. I shall be exhibiting and demonstrating in the Osteoporosis Tent, helping to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause.
August - 23rd to 2nd Sept. Annual Exhibition at Sutton Bridge St.Matthews Church. (follow the A 17 - cross the swing bridge, turn right, church on the left. More than 250 paintings exhibited in all media and styles. Integrel cafe. Excellent facilities.
10 -17th September - Solo exhibition at Kings Lynn Arts Centre, King Street. Open every day 10. - 5.00 (including Sunday) Also at the same time Peter Borrmann's Wild Life Exhibition, at the same venue. I shall exhibit in this one as well. This is also Heritage Weekend, and there are two other exhibitions at the Art Centre, the West Norfolk Artists Association Small Works, in the Shakespeare Barn, and The St. Germans Art Club in the Red Barn. The whole complex will be buzzing!!! Refreshments available in the Undercroft Restaurant.
I am happy to report that all the exhibitions have been a great success this year, and I was especially delighted with my first Solo Exhibition. We had over 1000 visitors and lots of sales and great comments. The Whole of the Art Centre was buzzing with all four exhibitions showing at the same time.
Kings Lynn Art Centre Trust is up and running and now needs all the support of the local community.
